About this course
This Work safely at heights course (full course and refresher), will refresh your knowledge and skills to safely perform work at a height for use within the mining, civil and construction industries.
This unit specifies the outcomes required to work safely at height associated with:
- Identify work requirements (eg: inspect work area and physical surroundings)
- Identify work procedures and instructions (eg: inspect fall protection equipment)
- Access and install equipment (eg: ensure all required equipment is installed)
- Perform work at heights (eg: check access from ground to work area is safe)
- Clean up work area (eg: clean, check, maintain and store tools and equipment)

Training requirements
The following is required to commence enrolment in the RIIWHS204E Work safely at heights course:
- Photo identification
- USI number (Click here to obtain a USI number)
- Be able to read and write in plain English
The following is required on the day of training and assessment:
- Steel capped/composite boots
- Long-sleeved, high visibility shirt (high visibility vests available for loan)
- Long pants
- Hard hat (some are available for loan)
Momentum High Risk Training will provide all training materials and stationery.
- You’re welcome to bring your own lunch as fridges and crib rooms are available for use; or
- Various lunch options are available close by at the Mackay Harbour
Course outcomes
You will receive a Statement of Attainment in RIIWHS204E Work safely at heights once you have been deemed competent, issued by Halo Nation Training (RTO No. 32485).
